Neplatelschiki (the Nonpayers) are a sect that appeared after the liberation of peasants in the Krasnoufimsky district of the Perm province, rejecting ritualism and payment of taxes.

Неплательщики — беспоповщинская секта, появившаяся в 60-х годах настоящего столетия в Красноуфимском уезде Пермской губернии (на заводах Нижне- и Верхне-Сергинских, Михайловском, Атигском и др.). Н. отвергают установленные власти, отказываются от уплаты податей и исполнения разных государственных повинностей. Сначала секта Н. была немногочисленна и проявляла себя в виде легкой оппозиции против сельского и волостного начальства при сборе податей, но затем стала постепенно усиливаться, и с введением всеобщей повинности случаи неподчинения распоряжениям властей стали повторяться с большей силой. К строгим мерам власти Н. относились со стоическим хладнокровием, видя в них испытание, посылаемое свыше. Убеждения духовенства подчиняться распоряжениям гражданской власти вооружили против него Н. и имели последствием разрыв Н. с церковью и отрицание всякой обрядности. Признавая одно верховное существо — Бога, Н. отвергают почитание святых, богослужение, таинства, не совершают крестного знамения, не носят на себе креста, не признают постов и т. д. Общественное богослужение заменяется у Н. домашними, частными собраниями, на которых читаются Евангелие, Библия, творения Кирилла Иерусалимского, Ефрема Сирина и др.
